Looking for the location of an old road
« on: Wednesday 16 April 14 13:40 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the location St George's Road near Camden.  I have done some googling, but I'm getting conflicting info so I thought I'd try here.

The person I am looking for has a 1919 burial record from Pancras Old Church which lists the address as 62 St George's Rd in the St Mark's Parish, which is very close to the entrance to London Zoo and is also a stone's throw from the previous address from the 1911 census.

The Charles Booth Online Archive - a survey into life and labour in London (1886-1903) may be of use. The page includes a link to a modern and old map (Edit - under this reference Booth B357, p7)

Great thanks.  Looks like St Georges Rd (and St George's Square) have become Chalcot Rd & Chalcot Square.
