They may be relatives Cousins etc, coincidence that I was researching the same surname, I would have liked to find out why he left Richhill to go to Sunderland, probably work.
This is what I have from local newspapers.
Born in 1895 Thomas was a son of Robert and Annie Albin of Rockmacreaney, Richhill. He was one of eight surviving children. When Thomas left school, he went to work in Thomas McCullough’s drapers shop in Scotch Street, Armagh.
At some stage between 1911 and 1914 Thomas left Richhill and moved to England. All that is currently known is that he is shown as enlisting in Sunderland, and joined the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales Own), being posted to the 1st Battalion.
The 1st Battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment went to the battlefields from 10 September 1914, disembarking at the port of St Nazaire. Thomas is recorded as arriving in France slightly later, arriving on 24 September 1914.
In July 1915 his regiment is in Belgium, involved in the Second Battle of Ypres. Thomas was killed in action on 28 July, and is buried in Potijze Burial Ground Cemetery.
