im looking for the parents of Ann J Baxter D.O.B 1834 second wife of Thomas Richardson D.O.b 1826.... Ann was a resident of Swindon in Northumberland, any help is appreciated (BB)

When did they marry? The certificate will give you her father's name.

By the way, I think you'll find that Swindon was the name of a hamlet in the Township of Hepple, which was in the Parish of Rothbury.

re ann j baxter the only info i have is born 1834 and from swindon northumberland married Thomas Richardson she was his second wife no info on there marriage date or where they married hope some one can help thankyou for your info up to now bb

1871, 1881 and 1891 census gives Swindon birthplace

1861 states Rothbury

Looking at the 1891 census, Its Ann I. Richardson.
They have a daughter Margaret, born Felton/Acton. On Familysearch there is baptism at Felton 18 Jan 1857. Margaret Richardson, daughter of Thomas and Ann Isabella.
Are you sure that Ann's surname was Baxter, is that from a childrens birth cert? They are living with a Baxter family in 1891, but thats their son in laws surname.
There is an Ann Proudlock, age 18, b. Swindon, in 1851 census that fits the bill. In 1841 she's a daughter of Robert, lots of her siblings in 1851 are born Swindon.
Can't see a marriage to Thomas. But googling Ann Isabella Proudlock comes up with an on line family tree on a pay site giving a husband Thomas Richardson. One family tree on Ancestry has Thomas second wife as Ann Isabella Proudlock. Has a photo of Thomas first marriage cert displayed and all census details for Thomas and Ann, but no date for their marriage.
