Patrick Clancy / Mary Barclay (Bartley) Inveresek, With Musselburgh, Midlothian

I'm looking for more information about Patrick Clancy.. We know he was born in Ireland and married Mary Barclay (Bartley) . Any suggestions to find when and where from he arrived in Scotland?  I wasn't able to find him in 1851 census.  Thank you!

There was free passage between England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland so no records were kept of people travelling between those areas. 

If he was still alive in 1911 - the 1911 census should show his actual birthplace within Ireland.

If he died in Scotland - his death cert should show his parents names and his mothers maiden name
