If like me you are waiting with baited breath for the Kirk Session Minutes to become available over the internet (how sad does that sound!) then best start saving for a holiday in Scotland....reply from NAS Sept 8th 2014.

"Thank you for your enquiry of 8 September regarding the online availability of church court records.

I am afraid that I am unable to give you a precise date when these records will be available online. Our forthcoming online releases are likely to be the valuation roll indexes for 1872, 1925, 1865 and 1855. These will take us well into 2015.

The church court records might follow after that but there are other series of records which might be released first."

I discovered that, thanks. Pity.

However, I managed to visit Glasgow Mitchell and found what I was looking for.  The particular person I was looking for was mentioned on 3 different occasions in the minutes. 

Was delighted with what was available.
