I have just started research in South Africa and taking a bit of reading ...   :) but -

thought this might be of interest to you all. It appears Ancestry.com has purchased the records from Ancestry24 - just if you don't already know.

Good that the records are going to be preserved and not lost, but not good news for us in South Africa what with the exchange rate and all.......

I spoke to Ancestry. They don't have a release date yet. They are currently working on transferring all of the records still.
