Any help please
« on: Monday 14 April 14 21:14 BST (UK) »
Good Day

I a helping another family member trace his Irish side
We have a marriage certificate saying Jane Prentice came from Kilkee at time of marriage in 1863, her father was Thomas Prentice.  Husband John Wilson
We roughly put birth of Jane about 1837.
Would there be any records regarding Jane's birth or mother please, or anything on a Thomas Prentice would be great.

Jane's bIrth is before civil registration so you would have to check parish records. To do this you would need to know what denomination and preferably a placename or parish name. There are very few parish records for Clare online.
This is a list of what parish records exist for Clare.

Added: Just had a look at Church of Ireland parish records from Kilkee - The Parish is called Kilfieragh and the records are in The Representative Church Body Library Churchtown Dublin but the earliest records surviving are 1845 - there doesn't seem to be anything available before that.
You could possibly find records for siblings if they were born after 1845.
Claire Santry's site may be of help.
