Does anyone have any information on Jehu Stockley (perhaps John Stockley) from Wales? He was born in 1747, arrested some years later by the Crown, and sentenced to serve seven years aboard a British vessel. Don't know where in Wales, but birth year is as recorded in family bible. He eventually landed in the colonies and fought on the American side in the Revolutionary War.

Thanks a bunch, but I am the Robert Lee who researched and wrote the article on Jehu Stokely and John Paul Jones. It's posted on a web site that is maintained by another Stokely family member who is also researching Jehu Stokely. I'll be in Wales in June (probably) and would like to see what I can gather up while there.
