Hi,

In the 1851 Census James states he was born Adlington, Cheshire abt 1818.

On www. familysearch.org there is a Christening of a James Vare 17th May 1818, Mother
Martha Vare no Father given.  So James was probably illegitimate.

The film reference on familysearch is  1751955, which is Bishops Transcripts which includes
Adlington.

Jane, was born abt 1822 Codnor Derbyshire, no christening found, however on 1841 Census
she is with her Mother Dorothy Allen  James Vare is in same household:-

HO107; Piece: 104; Book: 12;  Bollington, Cheshire.  She is listed as Jane Burd - transcription error.

Come back if you do not have access to Census
