Hi all,
My 3x gt aunt Elizabeth Ann Warburton (1843-1912) married Thomas Banks (1840-1913) on 18th August 1861. They had 9 children that I am aware of as follows:
Mary Elizabeth Banks (1862-1869)
Alfred Banks (1864-1869)
Elizabeth Ann/Annie Banks b1866 & married John Geoghegan in 1885
Esther Banks b1866 & married Thomas Neary in 1887
William Thomas Banks b1871 & married Ellen Eastwood in 1896
Sarah Alice Banks b1875 & married John Strudwick in 1897
Mary Emily Banks b1879 & married William Fletcher Boden in 1898
Clara May Banks (1882-1882)
Martha Ellen Banks b1884 & married William Swindells in 1906
The first seven children were born in Manchester & the last two in Castleton, Lancashire. Mary Emily initially shows up as being born in Manchester then later as born in Castleton.
I have the family in 1871 but not in 1881, other than Elizabeth Ann (as Ann Banks) & Esther who are with their grandparents William & Esther Warburton (my 3x gt grandparents). The rest of the family are either in Manchester or Castleton. They seem to have moved sometime between late 1880 & early 1882. (Mary Emily baptised Oct 1880 in Manchester & Clara May born May 1882 in Castleton). I cannot find the rest of the family in 1881 at all.
In 1891 I think I have the Banks family in Castleton & the Neary's in Hulme.
In 1901 I have some possibles for the Banks family, the Strudwick's & the Boden's in Milnrow, near Castleton Lancs & William Thomas Banks in Rochdale itself.
Elizabeth Ann/Annie & her husband I have found no trace of in either 1891 or 1901 & Esther & her husband are also missing in 1901.
The only census search I have access to is on familysearch, hence my saying possibles & having some detail but not a lot!
My apologies for the length of the post, but I wanted to get the details down to avoid duplicating information that I already have.
Hope someone can help with this, this one's been bugging me for a while now!
