Hi all...

Just wondering... how would the locals pronounce Bellaghy.

Is it Bella-HEE or b-LAG-ee or something else entirely.

Thanks
Beg

Hi again...

Thanks for the pronunciation lesson. I was doing it wrong :) My money was on Bella-HEE

---

I've been forwarded a scan of a photocopy of a photocopy of the pub I mentioned in my original post. I'm wondering if the building is still standing. I don't suppose anyone knows anyone who would happen to be passing through Bellaghy.

I was thinking of asking the Bellaghy Historical Society but their website seems to be a welcome page and not a lot more.

Google StreetView is a possibility but it can get a bit confusing compared to someone wandering the actual street (Main Street I believe).

Any advice appreciated.

Here's a link to a scan of the photocopy of the photocopy....
