Any unusual ones would be of interest if you collect them - it would be nice if you could post a few of your favourites!

Regarding Mr Lowe I can't tell you a great deal, my father knew of him but never actually met him.  After his death when his house was sold my father did the building work for the new owner.

He did take a number of photographs around the parish which I have seen.

When Mr Lowe died did Jessie his wife move or did she remain in the cottage at Deepdale.
She died in the 1970s.

My father did not know them personally, but he will ask around and see if anyone who is still living who remembers.

If you are the same lady that was asking about Kilners, the photos of which I posted in another thread then I belive the photo's I posted were originally taken by Mr Lowe.

Mr Lowe took numerous photographs of the area, he died in 1934.
Jessie his wife made and sold postcards in the local shops after his death.

I know that the last post was 5 years ago but, regarding Jessie Lowe's death the entry in the Patterdale burial register states that she died at The Grange, St Ann's Hill, Chertsey in Surrey.
