I am looking for details of the parents of Eliza/Elizabeth Ann Layer (or Lair) born in Carmarthenshire in September quarter 1862, all the records I can find do not give any details of parents, in 1871 she is living with Elizabeth Fisher with her sisters Emily & Mary, they are stated to be 'Boarders', at some time later she was living in Ireland and Married William Tuckey in Co.Kildare, her address then is Curragh Camp, Kildare. Any help would be appreciated. BettyM

I think you will need to get a copy of her birth cert ( otder from www.gro.gov.uk using the reference from the gro index)

You will then know for sure who her parents are and her mothers maiden name

Totally agree with Liz , her birth cert is the only 100% way to confirm both her parents names.

£9.25 from the GRO as liz suggests . Don't buy from any other site as the cost's are much higher.

This death may be relevant but you will need the birth cert first as advised above
