Need second opinion.

Thomas Hurdle Poulter - buried 21 May 1862, age 32 - residence Red Lion Lane, Farnham.

Is this the same Thomas Poulter on the 1861 census? Born in Farnham in around 1830 and living in Red Lion Lane, Farnham in 1861 with his wife Mary.

If so is there a possible baptism?

Well, it certainly looks like the same person doesnt it? I dont think you will get any more evidence beyond right name, right age and right address!

It's just that the name 'Hurdle' only appears on the death and burial records.

Middle names rarely are put on censuses, I have found.

Thank you, do they appear on the 1841 and 1851 census?

I agree with Liz, too many coincidences for it not to be the same person. Perhaps the person registering the death felt, as it was a solemn religious occasion, he needed to be recorded with his full name.

As his mother is given as Maria Poulter on his christening and no father is mentioned, I wonder if he was illegitimate? If so, Hurdle could have been his father's name.

If you look on FamilySearch, Hurdle was quite a common name in Farnham.

I can't see them in the 1841 or 1851 census, but there is a possible baptism for Maria
