Tabitha and Henry Childs
« on: Wednesday 21 May 14 20:08 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Tabitha Beavis (b. 1814 in Bexhill) married Henry Childs on Feb. 1, 1836 in St. Leonards-on-Sea.

The 1841 census has them in Southwark Surrey.  I can't find either of them on Family Search or BMD after 1841.  Anything on Ancestry?

Any information would be appreciated.

No sign of them there either - I wonder if they emigrated to Australia, New Zealand or America?

Thanks for looking.  I'll look for them outside of the UK.  I suppose it might also be a case of deaths that went unrecorded for some reason.

Deaths are usually the one thing that does get recorded, people often didn't register babies, or didn't get married, but I dont think you could get away with not registering a death.
