I wonder if anyone can tell me the location of Margaret Shields ms Boyle burial plot? I know she was buried in a paupers grave but would like to visit the spot with relations from Canada.
Also are any other members of the Shields family buried near her. Any help would be appreciated.

Have looked at Paulville burial records, however unsure what dates you are looking at. Could you give me an approx date of death? Burial records I have stop at 1975. If there are other relatives buried earlier than 1975, let me know their names and I'll have a look.

Sorry I forgot dates. Margaret died in 1864. She lived in Russell's Row Bathgate and her husband Terence died between 1851 and 1864. Her son John was killed in Stewartfield pit in 1866 so he might be buried near his mother.

Unsure if this is the correct person as the date is 1864, I wondered if you were looking for a later burial.
Common: Section N Lair 37
Margaret Boyle or Shields, wife of the late Tary Shields, miner, Airdrie, died 6/11/1864, date of interment 8/11/1864, aged 67 years. Funeral from Russell's Row, Bathgate.
There are a 14 Shields and 25 Boyles buried in Paulville. Let me know the names and I'll send information by PM.

Hello,

The only John Shields around that date is
John Shields, Labourer, Cochrane Street, Bathgate, aged 73 years, died 19/12/1867. He is in a private grave with other surnames: Davidson, Horn, Wardrope and Wilson.
Will see if I can find info re your John.

Thanks for your help. The Boyle information is correct. I hope you are able to discover John's burial. His nephew also John died around the same time so they may be together
