Isaac Smith family
« on: Thursday 11 September 14 03:17 BST (UK) »
Isaac was born abt 1842-46 Ireland and lived in Kent and Essex Ontario. Isaac died 1917. He had two wives but no marriages ever found. They were Harriett Pickering 1857-1888 and Lucy Elizabeth Brain 1870-1959.
Children with Harriett were John William 1877, Margaret Ann 1879, Ida Emma 1883,Isaac Henry 1886 and Alfred Wyman 1888. Children with Lucy were Wellesley Morrison 1898 and Lincoln Goldwin 1905.
John William married Susan Emma Roadhouse in 1902. They may have still been in Ontario in 1950. No idea where or  when they died.
Margaret Ann married Milton Herbert Dodd in 1907. They moved to Michigan and probably died there.
No idea what became of Ida Emma after 1901.
Isaac Henry married Sabra Allana Brown in 1911 and both buried in Essex Co.
No idea what happened to Alfred Wyman after 1901.
Wellesley Morrison married Harriett Mae Lake in 1917. They moved to Michigan and probably died there.
Lincoln Goldwin married Ruth Lilian King in 1917. Ruth born Ontario abt 1905/07 and died 1935 Windsor. Voting record shows Lincoln with an Agnes living in Essex Co to 1958. They then disappear.
Can anyone help with any of the missing data?

Have found that Ida married William Duncan Mitchell 9 Mar 1911 Essex Co. William born 19 Aug 1886 Elgin Co. His parents were Duncan Mitchell and Rhoda Elizabeth Vicary.
They do not appear to show up in 1911 but they could possibly be in Wheatlands,Swift Current Saskatchewan in 1921.

John Smith and Susan Roadhouse lived at R.R. #1 Cottam which is north of Leamington.  He was a farmer also the village Treasurer so there will be something on him in the Essex or Leamington Library as well as the local OGS Branch including an obit.  They were both still alive in 1957 from the voters list. You can try your luck here http://ink.ourontario.ca http://www.ourontario.ca/demo/News.html but these can be a pain to search.

Keep in mind, they may have ended up in a nursing home in Essex, Leamington or Kingsville.
