Milne family

James Chalmers MILNE m Isabella Fairley b 1859 Scotland, emigrated to Canada with children before 1911. Census records show Isabella MILNE with children James, Helen and Constance in Vancouver BC.  Can't find record of marriage, but he is shown as husband on Isabella's death certificate and father of the bride on Constance's marriage information.

In searches I have found a James Chalmers MILNE who was born in Canada and moved to the U.S. I don't think this is the same person as mine married in Scotland as all children born there. Or is this the same person and did he marry twice and change his DOB? - or a family name given to several children in different generations.

Also, looking for info re William MILNE from previous generation (relationship unknown) and Alex'r MILNE either in same gen as James Chalmers, or previous gen with William - Canada or Scotland

Any help on this would be appreciated.  Thanks

This is your Milnes in the 1921 Vancouver census.  Note James C born in the British West Indies (the Carribean) about 1869 and Isabella born Scotland also about 1869 not 1859.
