Surely someone must know something about Bunclody if not Ravenswood House,
Perhaps you have lived in the village or attended the convent .

If you have any information on any of the above PLEASE contact me....

Hi, It is totally by accident that I found this site. I am not researching family history ar anything like that, just randomly searching 'google' when I found it. Anyway, to get to the point. I live in Bunclody, Co. Wexford and I lived, until recent years, in Ravenswood House. It's all a bit weird to be sending this to someone who also has lived there but how and ever. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the history of the house for you. I know of a few previous owners but all in the last few decades. Interestingly though when I was moving to Ravenswood House a lot of people around Bunclody told me and my family that the house was once the home of Brahm Stoker i.e. the Dracula man!!! Now, obviously I couldn't authenticate this nor have I ever really believed it but there you go, loads of people said it to me. Other than that I can't really help you but I'll be happy to answer any other questions that I can about Bunclody for you.

Forgot to say before, I know [color=blue[(*)[/color]but obviously I'm not going to give details of them because I don't know why you ask about these people in particular.

My name is Neil carter and I also lived at Ravenswood House Bunclody in the early 1950,s.
In those days, our family put most of the land to barley   which we grew for Gulnness brewery.

Hi Neil

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

David, who started this topic, hasn't been online here since 2008. As long as he hasn't changed email addresses he should receive notifications that we have posted and hopefully come back soon.
