I am trying to find what happened to John Coleman he was born in Cardross in 1870 was signed for Celtic football club in June 1888 he played outside left, his last game was in 1893.

In 1901 he was unmarried and living with his parents in Cardross - his occupation was saw miller

The 1911 census can only be viewed on Scotlands People which is a pay per view website via purchase of credits

Have checked the various Celtic sites for further details such as here www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Coleman,+John

If the right death detail is mentioned there, you should be able to confirm it by viewing online his death cert on Scotlands People (as Carole has linked above).

Added: Can't really see a death on SP to fit what was mentioned on the link  :-\ Or, he may not have died in Scotland.

Thanks for your help but I think we have two John Colemans I seem to be going round in circles I will try again tomorrow.  ???
