Given a white feather

My grandmother's brother, Charles Daniel WEBB was given a white feather - a sign of cowardice - because he had not joined up during WWI.  He subsequently joined the Rifle Brigade in July 1915 and fought in France.  His number may have been 2380.

He was killed in 1916.

I would be grateful for any information anyone may have regarding him.

Andy Pay is the "Miracle Man" when it comes to the Rifle Brigade .... but I know quite a bit myself because my Granddad was in the 10th battalion !

sdgw has him as 'died'  (in service)  you should be able to get a death certificate for him showing the cause of death

I agree! and I'm sorry to say they had a movement started by women !! and in particular - one woman who had NO IDEA!!

Charles went to War and died - enough said !!

albert webb may be related,not sure if they were brothers,they were both members of the church so there may be a record of them,mack
