Parish of Kiltearn

My great great grandparents were married on 14 July 1837 in the Parish of Kiltearn.

Their names were John Mackenzie and Catherine MacDonald.

Looking at the OPR image, I can read that Catherine lived at Woodlands, Kiltearn, but I am having difficulty reading where John lived - it looks like STRONGUIE.

Can anyone help?

There is a Strongarve in Kiltearn Parish. Not far from Woodlands.

It does look like Stronguie. I can't find a place called Stronguie anywhere.

The only settlement in Kiltearn  with a similar name is Strongarve.

If you compare all the other letters in the script even the uncrossed t, I also think it says Stronguie but  I have failed to find any reference to it, perhaps it was the name of a house rather than a parish or hamlet.

Yes, I thought it may be a house, but as Woodlands is shown as a settlement, is it possible that Stronguie is the local, familiar name for Strongarve?

I have court documents from 1832 - 1835 and my ancestor William Macdonald,  son of John Macdonald, alias Michael was listed as living at Strongiue, Stronguy, and Strongarve, all I assume the same place not far from Evanton.
