Eliza ? born in Herefordshire

In the 1851 census, Thomas Jackson (51) appears in Windrush, Gloucestershire, with his wife Eliza(45).
Thomas was born in Windrush, but Eliza is recorded as born in *church, Herefordshire (I can't make out the first few characters of the place name). In the 1861 census it says she was born in Ross. Their oldest child was born in 1837.
I cannot find a definitive marriage for them in Gloucestershire. Did they marry in Herefordshire?
Any help would be most welcome.

What's the reference for the 1851 census? Not coming up for me easily.

ETA: have now I think found it but details don't match the original post.  Thomas is 39 born Windrush and Eliza is 34 born Witchurch (presumably Whitchurch), Herefordshire.

7 year gap between Children Thos/Mary, so possibly another Marriage  unless some Children died.

Yes, was off Computer for a awhile and just found that also!
Charles was Christened 24 Feb 1839 and buried 10 July 1846

Eliza 25 Oct 1849
Anne Marico 22 April 1851
All have Parents as Thomas/Elizabeth, except Mary where Mother is Eliza

My apologies, avm, I was looking at another Thomas and Eliza (which is where the problem lies - which Thomas married which Eliza?). You have the correct family. Thanks for interpreting Eliza's birthplace - I can see it now!

This is the other Thomas/Eliza couple. They are in Sherborne in 1861. Her birthplace is given as Coln St Aldwins, Glos.

Good idea, rosie, it could well be Eliza's maiden name. Thanks for pointing this out. Maybe I'll have to buy a birth cert.

That was a good assumption, but yes, there were another 3 children in that 7 year gap; rosie has found 2 of them. And Thomas and Eliza were still married in 1881.

Unfortunately the problem gets more complicated. The 1871 census says Eliza was born in Brecon,
and the 1881 one says 'Wales'. But if anyone can find her marriage in Whitchurch, that would be conclusive.

On the offchance, I looked on FreeREG for a marriage of Thomas Jackson in Brecon, and there was his marriage to Eliza BURGESS in Dec. 1836!
