Completed with Thanks - Chard Road .. Tidy please?

Taken circa 1900,  Chard Road in the Kawarau Gorge, named after my family Richard and Emily Chard.  Their farm is now a well known Vineyard near the Kawarau Bungy Jump operation..

Is there someone please who can remove those "white blotches" to the right of the man standing on the road side and otherwise improve the appearance and clarity of the photograph.

The family would be most appreciative of any assistance.

What beautiful scenery.  I have removed the white blotches and lightened it a bit, but unfortunately there is not a lot more I can do.

That road was made by men using pick and shovel and explosives to break the rock.
