Looking for an Arthur James Harrison, born c1850 Walworth,Surrey,England.
Is there a place to look up where he went to school, as I would like  to find his parents, from marriage records he was deceased. He married Elizabeth king 1873. And later Married Mary Ann Bird.
Also how can one go forward to find living cousins please :)

This looks like it could be him in 1851 census

8 Anchor Cottages, Ashford, Kent
John A Harrison 29 Engineer bn Newcastle on Tynč
Ann A 25 wife bn London, Surrey
Arthur 1 bn London Surrey

I cant see a birth ref for an Arthur with middle name James?

If you get a copy of his marriage cert, it should give his fatherw name and occupation, and therefore help identify if that one I found in 1851 is hopeful or not.
Where did he marry Elizabeth King?

OK, its not the one I found in 1851

Marriage to Mary Ann Bird 21 Ap 1878 at St Johns Walworth gives his fathers name also as Arthur James Harrison, deceased.

Arthur (jnr, the groom) is a cellarman, widower, of 11 Harries Sq.

, as I would like  to find his parents, from marriage records he was deceased

Do you mean his father was described as deceased on Arthur |James marriage reg ?

If so could you post his father's name - also are witnesses possibly related to Arthur??

Those names would help in the search

Arthur James gives p.o.b. as Walworth in 1881, Lambeth 1891 & Newington 1901

Thank you all for your help.
I have searched Census records and Freebmd but to no avail.
I was thinking of searching School records around 1850 to 1870, in the hope I would find his registration with the name of his Father and Mother and where they may have lived around that time.
Arthur James Harrison was Married to his first wife Elizabeth King in 1873.
His second Marriage was to a Mary Ann Bird in 1878. In all there were 11 Children from both Marriages. On both Marriage certificates his Father was Arthur James Harrison Deceased, but no mention of where he died or buried or lived.
3 children from the first and 8 children from the second.
I have made a contact with a relative on the Harrison/King side but they too do not where his Father Arthur James Harrison lived. I do have a photo of Arthur James Harrison and his Second wife Mary Ann Bird which I have passed on.
Kind regards

If you still can't find Arthur James HARRISON Snr perhaps he was Scottish? HARRISON was commonly used in the north of England and Scotland whereas HARRIS was used more frequently in the south and west of England and Wales.

Might be worth a look on Scotlands People website?
