Would like any information on him, he was married to a Eva Sarah Violet Dear and they might have had a son named Daniel and William?????????????????????
Then they came to Canada, Montreal? No other information, he might have passed away in Canada, and I have checked?????  He might have passed away in 1928?? Haven't got a clue.

Looks like Eva age 6 is in Kensington in 1901 with parents named John D DEAR 31 & Frances  25 plus siblings William 7 and Frances 3
RG13 /  Piece: 32 /  Folio: 45 / Page: 35

The 1911 Canadian Census can be searched (free) here:
http://automatedgenealogy.com/

There is a family  in Quebec:
189 Canning - St Antoine, Montreal, District 180, Subdistrict 3, ED 8
Head: William WILL 34, b April 1877 Quebec,  Tribal: Scotch , Nationality: Canadian, Reigion Prebysterian, Occ: Master Carter.
Wife: Eva WILL 16, b Feb 1895 England, Tribal: English, Nationality: Canadian, Religion: Anglican, Immigrated 1908.
Son: William WILL 1, b May 1910 Quebec

This looks like Eva S V DEAR arriving in Canada:
SS "Kensington" arrived Montreal 3 Nov 1907 out of Liverpool
Frances DEAR 31, wife, -----? Railway
Chas DEAR 15, Labourer
Eva DEAR 11, child
Frances DEAR 9 child

Looks like father/husband John DEAR went over earlier and works for the Railway.

Also looks like the right Eva on the 1911 Census, which in turn indicated William WILL was himself born in Canada.

Cheers

That is wonderful, Thankyou!!!!!
So does tht mean that my grandad was not born in Scotland.  His (their) son William, my  Uncle, was born in canada, but, my father told me his eldest brother, was not born in Canada, but, in Scotland???? And I do not know his name? Maybe Daniel?
Also, my father said that his father, passed away when he was only 9yrs old, and my dad was born in 1919-so maybe my grandad did pass away in 1928? I haven't been able to find out where he died or any kind of documentation???

But, it is a start!
Thankyou AMBLY :)

Hi, I've also been checking out the censuses etc. for you & found a few family trees on ancestry including one which had a photos of William Will & Eva Dear. Eva's parents were said to be John D.Dear & Francis Kesiah R. Giradot. William is in Quebec in the 1901 census & living with his parents; Daniel & Ellen. Their nationality is down as Scotch & it does state Quebec as William's place of birth. So far I have seen that William & Eva had Daniel, Kenneth (died 12 April 1981 Ontario), Frances, Charles James (1915 - 1918)
Frederick (1919- 1982).This information will have to be verified of course!
Hope this helps,

Found the birth & baptism details of William, son of William John Charles Wiil & Eva ....
born 2nd May 1910, baptised 22nd May 1910. There is a Laura in the 1911 census but it doesn't give her age or relationship in the ancestry transcription.
Also, in the 1901 census Daniel Will, born Scotland in 1830, emigrated to Canada in 1845. His occupation in 1901 was a book keeper. Ellen, also born in Scotland,in 1840, emigrated in 1857.

yes I have been on ancestry, and found some information, looking for other family members as well....my dad had 4 brothers, Dan, Bill, Jack, and Ken....I had only met them, except Dan, when I was young, and when my own Dad passed in 1982, his youngest brother being Ken passed a year and a day before him...Jack and Dan lived?in Quebec, and the other including my dad all lived in Ontario, Canada....your information is quite correct, and I don't know of any Laura???  This still does not explain where my uncle Dan was born, either in Canada, or Scotland, I am a little confused as what too understand being was my grandfather, William Will(s) b orn here in Canada, or not?    You are fantastic, Ambly!!!!!! ;D

Hello, I think its my family you are looking for.  My ancestors was originally from Aberdeen Scotland and traveled to Quebec Canada.  I am recently 5 minutes away from Montreal, where the Wills sisters live.  We do have someone by the name Eva, which my grandmother (Heather) calls "Aunty Eva."  Eva and William came here around late 1800's early 1900's.  I to have that document of the Census of April 15th I believe on page 17.

Do you know Eva's kids name and their kids name? This would help a lot for we do not have many memories of ancestors.

My Grandmother's sister has tried to find relatives in Scotland.
