Hi Ray, in case you were not aware both Thomas and Mary were working on the same farm for William Botterill and family in 1841 at Middlethorpe, Londesborough, Pocklington, Yorks

IGI only source to date.Indicates "Hawksworth" may be from John Hawksworth/Eliz Wood (Rothwell,Yorks)whose daughter Mary may be wife of Thomas and mother of Thomas Hawksworth Turner. Appears my family gradually moved eastwards thru Snaith to Market Weighton and Shipton. Any address and occupation data very welcome.

hi, i know this is an old thread. and i am new to roots.  i am also researching hawksworth, i am interested in  the john hawksworth / mary wood from rothwell. do you have any more information on him? i also have two hawksworths from rothwell, william and joseph born 1766 and 1759. they also used mothers maiden name as a middle name
