Ann Violet Scott of Toronto
« on: Thursday 14 June 12 11:30 BST (UK) »
Ann Violet Scott was the daughter of William David Scott & May Glencross. The family lived in the Toronto area of Ontario at 116 Boultbee Avenue. I would very much like to learn of the birth details for Ann Violet Scott   ~  I suspect that it was likely to have been around the mid to late 1920's.
I know that she married becoming Mrs Shaw. I have no idea of who Mr Shaw was or when they married. If anyone could help me with this information please I would be most grateful.
Also, I would like to learn of the details of Ann's demise.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Good afternoon Treefan,

The birth and marriage of Ann is still within the Canadian privacy restrictions so her info is not publically available yet. However,  I would contact the Toronto Public Library to see if they would do a lookup for her birth and marriage notices in their newspaper archive. The link is: http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/.  Although there is a possibility that Ann is still living, I would also check out the OCFA site to look for a burial place. The link to this site is http://ocfa.islandnet.com/ocfa-search.php. Hoping this helps,

jdc, it's very good of you to reply. I am struggling to find out much at all about my Canadian ancestors as the records seem to be rather sparse.
Many thanks for your advice which I will try to follow up on as you have suggested.

Hello.....I was surprised to find you looking for Ann Scott.  Ann is my mother and I would be interested in knowing where you are from and your connection to my family.  Certainly any information I can pass along to you wouldn't be a problem.

I look forward to hearing from you.  :)

if you make one more post even to say hi, you will be able to use the PM (personal message) system to contact Treefan

You access the PM by clicking on the little green scroll under the user name of the person you want to contact.

If you need help using the system, just post that and someone on here will help you.

Val

;D  I can't believe my luck!  We have exchanged e-mail addresses so that we can chat about the family at length with no fear of breaking the site rules about mentioning living folk. How lucky am I!!

Hello,
I found this post looking for Ann Scott Shaw as she lived up the street from us on Boultbee Avenue.  My mother would love to connect with her if you can tell me how to get in touch.  My mother was close friends with Ann's uncle, Bob Glencross and we knew the whole famly.  Don't want to post names here for public. Please let me know how to contact your mom.  Thanks.
