HI all

I also research Merrick/Merricks and would be interested to see if they are related in anyway?

It has been a curse with the spelling and finally had the kind services of a distant relation go into the Stafford record office and finally found that the "s" was added during the 1841 census, so my Merricks were Merrick before 1841.

We have a Thomas Merrick born in Stone 1787, and think the family may of came from Shropshire before Stafford.  There are a few records but many missing people to fill in the gaps, so would be most interested to see if we have any names that may match, that is if you have people going back to this time line?

All the best

And far too many to add

Hi Suzy

I think we have been in touch re the Merricks on GR! :D

I have learnt nothing new lately. Maybe I too shall have to take a trip to the Records Office in Stafford in the New Year. :-\

Hope all is well with you.

Hi Judy

After taking out a months sub on Find My Past I think I can link our Merrick/s families.

The Bradley side of the family link back to a Moses Merrick born 1716 in Marston, he would be the brother of my William born around 1730 in Marston.

Moses moved into the Bradley area after his marriage and by the looks of things that is your side of the family.  Mine moved into St Mary.  So we are related along a very long winding path.

I have taken many notes and would love to share with you.  Please P.M me if you think I am on the right pony.
