Evans ,Llanberis, Baptism
« on: Thursday 14 August 14 16:19 BST (UK) »
Hi All,Hope someone can help me find Baptism of Elizabeth Evans ,1810 in Llanberis, this I have found from a couple of census returns when she and her family lived in Llanbeblig.I have on a document from one of her daughter,s getting admitted to a Liverpool workhouse, she had at least four brothers and two sisters. She named her own children George,William,Robert,Ellis,Jane,Hannah,Margaret,in that order. Her husband was named George and his younger brother,William.
I am really stuck and have been for years with this part of my family tree.
Many thanks for your time.

Hi tsumi,

Is Evans her maiden name, if so what was her surname when she married?

Hi Ellen,Evans was her maiden name and she married a George Fearance ,1834 ,Llanbeblig but that surname is a nightmare, spelt a dozen different ways, depending where they lived.I believe George and his brother William who died in 1818 in Llanbeblig aged 11 were sent there from Liverpool by whoever when their mother Elizabeth nee Thomas died, their father drowned 1829.

I've got an Elizabeth Ellis Evans baptised on Christmas Day 1810 in Llanddeiniolen, being the daughter of Ellis Evans and Jane Williams. She had 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and I know that she went to live in Caernarfon. There is some similarity with the names of 'your' Elizabeth's children.
I have a record(long story) of 'my' Elizabeth having children called Jane, Anna , Margaret and William (Order unknown), but nothing is known about her husband.
Do you have further information re the marriage ?(any witnesses, for instance)
Owen , Parry , Pritchard, Foulkes  o Llanddeiniolen
Jones, Bellis o Sir Fflint
Williams o Beaumaris
Chambers o Dulyn
Rowlands o Tywyn

Hi  Huwcyn,The witnesses were John Parry and Thomas Owens, the marriage was December 1832,in Llanbeblig.I have had quite a job finding where she was born, different places given on census.I have to admit your family data sounds very promising,Elizabeth,s 3rd son was Ellis Evan and 5th son Robert Ellis.
Many thanks for your interest
