marriage look up at Sheffield Parish Church

My G Grandfather James was a witness at the marriage of Mary Ann Edge [ born Gibraltar 1868 ] to a T Stubbs /Stobbs in about 1895-1900 at Sheffield Parish Church. I can find no records that match. Is it possible to look in the actual Church records. Ron

I have not found a marriage reg - could you post further details of where you found the information or what other information you have?

I wondered if "T" Stubbs could really be "F" Stubbs?

There is a Frank Stubbs with wife Mary Ann (she was b Gibraltar)
Frank was a Chauffeur but by the time his daughter Daisy married he was a driver in the armed forces Royal Garrison Artillery

It looks like this Mary A's surname was Poolton - witnesses at her marriage to Frank were Francis & Rose Poolton

I think it must be two different ladies don't you?

Mary Ann Edge is in Yorkshire age 3 with parents John & Mary Ann in 1871.
Age 13 in 1881 with parents.

Yes I definately think it is a different lady - just a coincidence there was a Mary Ann b Gibraltar who married a F Stubbs!!!

Just realised Mary Ann Edge's sister Wilhelmina married one of my G Uncles - she went as Mina
