re help with ulderico born 1916
« on: Friday 18 July 14 12:15 BST (UK) »
Hi
Can anyone help with restoring this cute photo of my father in law, Ulderico, taken most likely in 1917 in Atherton, Queensland. It is the only one we have of him at that age. He has just passed away, aged 98 & therefore this will be a very special restoration for the family if it can be done.
Thank you
Deb

Wow, this is great Japeflakes. You've made him darker, improved the background, taken out the tears & improved the chair!!
Thank you so much!
Do I have your permission to copy this?

Hi Deb, Cute photo. How nice he lived to 98! Enclosed is a colour version, bw, and sepia tone. I like how the background looked like smoke clouds.  , Tommy

Thanks again, japeflakes, I WILL use it, ta. Thanks also to Tommy & Terry for these amazing restores. Tommy, each one of these is precious for different reasons. I love the colour one which brings out Ulderico's (Andy's) blue eyes. Yes, he was lucky to live til 98, but he did look after himself & he had a big family & circle of friends to help him. He wanted to live to 100 but such is life, I think he did well~! Terry, lovely borders, thank you. You brought Andy's eyes to life in these photos, his eyes sparkle.
Your work is very much appreciated & will be shared amongst family. In fact I have already shared Japeflakes restore. Thank you.

I am so impressed by the quality of craftsmanship that I see here. I love every one of these restores. Every one brings a different dimension to the little boy that was Andy. Saddles (Carolyn),  this is very beautiful & I thank you so much. As ever, you have brought him to life, with your attention to detail. This is a remarkable restore & a great treasure for family to keep. I keep looking back at these restores as they are so great & I noticed something that I hadn't noticed in the original photo, a light stream coming from the white of Andy's clothes.
Thank you, thank you.
