Can anyone help? I'm looking for info on James Powrie who arrived in Melbourne from London on the BAIRANAID 18 May 1922. On the ship's passenger list he's described as a game keeper. I'm pretty sure he was the son of Alexander and Lizzie (nee Millar) from Coupar Angus.
Did he marry? Did he have a family? Perhaps he moved on to NZ?
Thanks,
Jim Powrie - Italy

There is this marriage but the only way to be sure is to purchase and immediately download the reg. Cost AUD$17.50

james was one of 8 children born to alexander powrie and his wife Lizzie Smith Deuchars Dewar /Millar/. james was born 5 Jun 1900, blairgowrie and married Myrtle /Gardiner/ 31 Oct 1931, Paraine, Victoria, Australia.
I'll be travelling to both countries next jan-feb. and will fill it in. I have added 4 generations back further with the DNA project, and connected all 7 branches that originate in Errol.
I'll finally be attending the Oz reunion in Feb and we have our first gold medal winner in London. Want to get the book updated to include her achievement.
