im looking for an alexander mennie birth and/or death his wife was a jane/jean copland born abt 1804 and they were married on the 28th of sep 1828 at monymusk and she died 18th april 1887 at keithhall Aberdeenshire and I do know he died before her as on the death cert it said she was a widow thanks for any help

There is a Jean Copland 45 born Monymusk , Aberdeenshire on the 1851 Census transcription at freeCEN , status given as widowed.

In 1841 Jean Mennie 30 is noted as independent  , with 2 children aged 5 and 10.

Can't see any children born after 1836, so it looks like Alexander died before 1851 and possibly before 1841.
