Last sighting of Ann Sleight on census with daughter Catherine was on the 1880 census for Dresden, Washington, New York.

Ann appears in a Saratoga Springs, New York, City Directory, 1885/89 - 89 George 2 - widow of Alexander. Kate Sleight is listed at that same address on both occasions.
In 1889 E Annie - nurse is also listed - that must be Emily Anna Sleight.

The 1891 directory lists Anna (nurse) bds 89 George -  Emily (nurse) 740 Broadway -  May bds 89 George - Kate bds 89 George and Ann widow of Alexander h 89 George.
This is the last entry for Ann Sleight.

Kate is listed on 1892 Census Saratoga Springs. In the 1892/3/4/5 Saratoga Directory - its lists Emily, Kate, May and Roxey J.

Hi Sandra,
Thankyou so much for all your information on the Sleigh family, I cannot believe how much info you have found. It will take days to get it all onto my family tree. I clicked on one of your links and found that my great grandfathers [Alexander Sleight] brother David Sleight also came over to Dresden about 1863/4, his wife was Jane Stuart/ Stewart and 7 of their nine children were born there, info which I didn't have. After I get all your info on the Sleight family onto my family tree, I will be back in touch with you if I need further research done. Once again thankyou for all your wonderful help, You  are absolutely a brilliant researcher, THANKYOU

Thanks Jonty - I did see the piece on David Sleight but hadn't got around to investigating him further. Was to much of a coincidence  when it said he came from Northumberland.  ;)
