Looking for Jane Wright after 1851
« on: Tuesday 01 April 14 14:44 BST (UK) »
Hello , i have hit a brickwall with 3 x gt gran Jane Wright (nee Taylor )  . Her husband Richard died in 1843 and i have found Jane on the 1851 census , a widow living at Bourne with 3 of her children .

But no trace of her after that . Jane was born at Aslackby 2nd August 1799 (FreeREG).   Any ideas or  help very welcome .

Many thanks ,

Gary.

The only one of them I can find is Betsy/Elizabeth who  married George BEASON in 1860.  She appears as Elizabeth BEESTON 22 in 1861. (her father named as Richard, 29 Oct 1860 at Bourne)

Hello Geoff , the problem is i have no idea what happened to her . Between 1851 and 1861 she could have died or remarried but the BMD's do not seem to contain anything relevant .  Or of course she may have been missed off the 1861 census or mis transcribed . I have tried searching just "Jane"  giving Aslacklby as a birth place but nothing ....  :-\

Best wishes ,

Gary.

Hello , it could be . The area is correct . She has not had Elizabeth as a a middle name before but that could be feasable .  There is an image of the burial record on lincstothepast but it doe's not give any more details .  I can't find this Jane Elizabeth on the 1861 census either ....  so do i risk 9.25p  on a certificate ?     ???

1861 Census has a Jane ALRIGHT, born c 1799 Billinghay, a Servant, Widowed, in North Kyme, Lincs.
I cant find her on the 1851 Census.
FreeBMD has no Jane Alright or Allright etc (used soundex option) who died 1861-1891 in Lincs.

Trish :)

Nice try Trish :)

... but she was Jane SLIGHT (indexed HIGHT on FindMyPast), you can find her in 1851 as Jane SLEIGHT aged 51, also in North Kyme.  :-\
