Thanks
The brother William puts a spanner in the works being born 1837 as my James son of Francis was born 1837.
Here’s what I know –
Francis Connolly
Bridget Cooney
Son - James Connolly b.1837 Dub (Occ house painter)
Parent move to Manchester
James Connolly lived in Dublin & Married for the second time in 1867 and stated on marriage, cert’s Grooms father Francis Connolly living in Manchester, James Marries for the 3rd time in 1882, his father was deceased but his mother names on this cert Bridget (Nee Cooney) and is living in England.
So Francis died sometime between 1867 and 1882 and was living in Manchester, Its possible he died in Manchester the Market Street area 1874 age 63.
Here is possible family of James Connolly in England-
Francis Connolly b.1811 Dub- (Occ house painter census 1861 & 1871 living in the Market Street Sub-registration)
Elizabeth Cooney b.1813 Dub
Children –
(William Connolly b.1837 Dub - churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie)
Maria b.1842 Dub (census 1861)
Alice b.1843 Dub (1861&1871)
William b.1849 Manchester (census 1861)
Thomas b.1851 Manchester (census 1861)
Matilda b.1851 Manchester (1861&1871)
Can’t see them in 1851 even though that had 1 or possible 2 children born in Manchester by the time the census was taken.
Elizabeth was living in England in 1882 but she is missing (or I can’t find her) from the 1881 census!
I can only trace one of the children after 1871 Matilda Connolly married Thomas Early I think they emigrated to Canada.
There’s also one other Francis & Bridget Connolly in Manchester from Ireland and I don’t believe its them.
Any help please or advice to help me join the dots would be great as my Ancestry run's out this week and just trying to get to the bottom of this as I don’t want jump to conclusion.
Thanks Kellie
Ps Sorry, its very wordy and possible makes no sense.
