Cheshire Blacksmiths

Reading The Village Blacksmith by R. Webber. 1971, page 139,
I see John & William Dale Cheshire blacksmiths with a bill for work carried out. Can anyone tie this down a bit more? Thanks, Toby.

Can you clarify exactly what it is you are asking for?

1971 appears to be the date the book was written/published so what timescale are we looking at for the blacksmiths to have been in business?  18th/19th/20th century?

That's marvellous, Wilcoxon. Since Little Warford is only about 10 miles from Holmes Chapel, that will suit me nicely for starters. Thanks to all, Toby.

Sorry Garstonite but I think you have the wrong man. I have only a very narrow interest in Cheshire and do not have access to the areas of interest to you. You need experts like Wilcoxon & Carole W.
Good luck. Toby.
