Does anyone have any photos of CHAIN PIER LODGE I think opposite Madeira Drive Brighton. My auntie with another female, which must have been her younger sister my auntie lived there in the 1911 census?

Good morning,

The only place I can find which fits with what you are looking for is this; http://www.regencysociety-jamesgray.com/ Look at volume 6, picture 006 which is the chain pier toll house, it was located somewhere in the area of the present roundabout and entrance to the aquarium. It looks very small but you would be surprised at the size of some homes in that era.

Hi John. I was very excited and still am and of course thanks for your reply. The photo I looked is the Eastern Beach and it seems to be 1910 to 1914 when my aunties lived in the Chain Pier Lodge. They might even be one of the people around. The only problem is I cannot see which of the buildings it is. On the middle level,I guess? If so have you any idea which one it is counting from the left
