I am having problems with the Waikato Times 13 April 1878.

There is a letter to the editor on page two titled "The Boy Francis Brown". I can get the computer-generated text but not the article which comes up as question marks and highlighting with no text.

Hi Charlie,

I saw what you meant.  If you go to page view (click on page 2 at the top) you can download a a pdf of the whole page and you can get the article that way.

Cheers,

KG

P.S I took a screenshot of the pdf for you...

If you right click on it you can 'save image as' if you need a copy.

Thanks, Kiwi Girl. It's good to know about that workaround.

Hi Charlie, we'll get this fixed, thanks for letting us know. Page two of that issue has a problem.

Kiwi Girl beat me to the workaround though - grabbing the pdf of the page or the issue is the best thing to do in situations like this.

Hi everyone, I'm really sorry for the delay in putting this out there - issues of the Otago Daily Times up to 1920 are now live on Papers Past.
Enjoy!
