Peter Phillips Cochrane according to anc.try tree .

Born 1831 in St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands Died 1879 in Richmond, Victoria, Australia.

Son of James cochrane and Esther Phillips. Immigrated 1855 to Australia on the "Evening Star"

Married at Trinity Church 18th June 1861 to Mary Ann Myers Williamstown, Victoria, Australia.  Occupation at time Professor of Music

Thank you very much for that information. Do you have any idea what religion he was? I am planning a visit in Septemebr from Australia and it would help me to locate which parish records to focus on. Also, his mother was Esther Phillips Cochrane - would you have any info on her?

Hi Have you found the info you were looking for as I have his records and the rest of the family ie sisters, mother etc records.  We are descendants of his brother William Cochrane.  The one he sailed with to Australia.
