The British Newspaper Archive have announce an offer which gives you a 30 day subscription to their site for £10 (normally this would be £29.95). You need to buy your subscription before 23.59 (GMT) on Sunday 13 April to take advantage of the discount.

I know, I saw! Had just added it as a PS to my post Rosie too  £8 or £10, both a great deal for a 30 days subs to the site.

I must admit that it's an excellent offer though a bit of a con when they are putting out two rates.  Thank goodness for rootschat

Just be careful - I clicked on the months subscription, entered the code, and got a message that I had the special price of £8, but then it switched back to 12 months, so if I hadn't checked the amount on the payment page, I would have been charged £79.95!
Anyway, now I'm going to see what more I can find about great grandad (so far he's been up before the magistrate twice for drunk & disorderly!).    cheers, Anne

And read the small print to be sure that after your month is up that they dont charge your account with the annual fee automatically.

Thankyou for that reminder! I looked on the 'My Account' page, and there's a box to tick if you want to auto renew. It was blank!  Anne
