I am now patiently ;) waiting for the copy of the death notice ordered through eGGSA.  I'm interested to see what that information is and where it will lead me.

Always fascinating the directions genealogy takes you.

Just received the copy of Cyril's death notice. It made for interesting reading and gave me the married name of Beatrice and Cyril's daughter. Since there is a chance she is still living, I'll continue the search some other way.

What a surprise to see your post  :)

Beatrice Mary Walker was my maternal grandfather's first cousin. She corresponded briefly with my mother (also a Walker by birth) in Canada just before the start of WWII.

My ggf - John Walker - was an older brother to Beatrice's father - Edward Walker.

If I've got this figured out correctly you are descended from Beatrice's brother Frank. Is that right? As far as I knew she only had the one brother and I never knew what happened to him.

Hi Sami.....nice to hear from you. Yes, Frank Walker is my grandfather...he died in 1967. I was chatting to my Dad this morning and hes very intrigued with what you have to tell us. Hes a John Walker as well!
