Hi everyone back on again to see if I can find out a bit more about the McAlister side of the family this is the information I have so far, would appreciate all the help I can get.
Patrick McCormick (McCormack)married Mary McAlister round about 1887, calculated this with information from the 1911 census as it states she had been married 24 years.
The year Mary was apt born was 1856, again calculated from the 1901 census.
I don't have the year that she died but my grandmother had met her before she married her son Peter McCormick in 1916.
Mary McAlister McCormick was buried in Finnis,Dromara graveyard in the McAlister family plot but her name isn't on the head stone.
I was able to make a few names of family members
Bernard McAlister died 30th Dec 1916
Annie McAlister died 13th Nov 1936
Mary Jane McAlister died 21st Feb 1900
Bernard McAlister died 17th Jan 1910
Patrick McAlister (PJ) died 31st August 1910
Daniel McAlister died 5th March 1901 and his wife Mary McAlister died 28th Sept 1892.
There was also a Catherine died 1886 and Charles.
I don't know the connection to Mary McAlister McCormick.I know she's buried in the same plot as the McAlisters I have named above as my grandfather Peter McCormick had visited a few times with my mother before his death.
I also know that Patrick Mccormick had abandoned his wife and family and went overseas.

I went to Finnis, Dromara grave yard yesterday and I was able to find Mary McCormick's ( nee McAlister) grave.
She's not buried as I thought in the same grave as the McAlister's that I have named above. Her head stone reads as McAlister Plot of Munninabane or Mullinabane Lower and only gives the year she died which was 1919 but not the date or month.
I found a few McAlisters in 1901-1911 Census at Munninabane.
So here's hoping that I may find a connection with someone who will also be looking for the McAlister family from Dromara.
Many thanks for your help in my family research.
        Elaine  :)

If you search here https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk   for the death of Mary McCormick in 1919, you get three returns one of whom was aged 55 and whose death was registered in Downpatrick.
