Probate of the will of Patrick Marmion died 11 Feb 1898 of Parkview ,Cknock retired Inspector D M P granted at Dublin to Marcella the widow. effects 229 pounds.

The convent on Mount Prospect Avenue is still there - here it is on Street View

It was previously Mount Prospect House. I think it is a retirement home for older nuns now.
I have a book somewhere might have some info of the history of the place - will have a look and let you know.

I think the first teacher training college for Catholic women  in Dublin was Our Lady of Mercy, Baggot Street.
Later, it was Mercy convent, Carysfort Ave, Blackrock, but I don't know when the change happened.
