F.W. Jeavons & RNAS & Balloons
« on: Monday 31 March 14 17:26 BST (UK) »
I am researching F.W. Jeavons (possibly Francis William) who was my chemistry master in the late 50's-early 60's.

We would divert him to talk about WWI, and he was involved with balloons, possibly in the RNAS.
Census data gives him born in 1899/1900 in SE London, so he would probably only have served in the last year of the war.

Naval Medal Rolls show a.......Jeavons, Frank W.; A.M.2; F.40900; awarded British War Medal

What other on-line resources might I search for his war service ?

Regards,

His record is available to download from NA Discovery website for £3.36
If you put his details in Frank Jeavons with number it will give you the download option.
If only a British War Medal then he didnt serve overseas in a war zone.
