Alexander LESSELLS born 1721 in Auchterderran. Can anyone please find his death.

G'day folks.

Hope someone out there may be able to help. I am seraching for a few things of the above named. Alexander is my 5th Great Grandfather. He married a Mary SHORT in 1745 in Beath Fife. I have their children all born in Beath.

I cannot find the death of Alexander nor his wife Mary. I do not know who is parents are however I believe Mary's father was William SHORT. I suspect they both may have passed in Beath as that is where their children were born but that is a guess.

Ok...a few people have read this which is great, thank you.

It seems Alexander's passing is a wee bit hard to find as is his wife.

I am now hoping that someone may be able to find records for their children. I only have their birth/bap. Anything besides that would be fabulous.

"Alexander LESLIE was born on 9 Apr 1721. He married Mary SHORT on 30 May 1746 in , Beath, Fife, Scotland, their son was George (Lessels) LESLIE.

George (Lessels) LESLIE  was born on 2 Aug 1747. He died on 29 Dec 1819. He married Agnes (orAnn) WILSON on 5 Jan 1788 in , Kinghorn, Fife, Scotland. Their sons were Alexander LESLIE (LESLY) was born on 4 Jul 1794 in , Kinghorn, Fife, Scotland. He was christened on 13 Jul 1794 in ,Kinghorn ,Fife, Scotland and a John LESLIE."

This appears to be your George Lessels with the name changing to Leslie, which could be quite confusing when searching records and census papers.....
