     A branch of my Family Tree has a Kenneth McKenzie, born 1849, died in Fife. Probably one of the deaths humanracer is referring to but he is not the Kenneth McKenzie you are looking for.
     This Kenneth McKenzie died 2nd Nov,1918 at Collessie, Fife. Born 16th Nov,1849 at Markinch, Fife, son of George McKenzie & Catherine McDonald. Married Anne Muckarsie 11th May,1883 at Ladybank, Collessie. Kenneth & Anne had 3 children, Anne b 1887, George b 1889 & John b 1892 all born at Ladybank, Collessie.

You might be able to eliminate the Kenneth McKenzie (born Kirkcaldy) age 26 living at Liff and Benvie with his parents John and Mary in 1871.  I think perhaps this Kenneth might be a relation to your Kenneth -both fathers born Kinghorn?

There's a Kenneth McKenzie (born Kirkcaldy - same man as above?) age 57 showing on the 1901 census with wife Isabella living Govan way. Now, very confusingly in 91 it looks like Isabella is with an Andrew McKenzie (born Kirkcaldy) age 47 - children's ages align...plus Isabella showing born Yoker, Dumbartonshire on both census...Transcription error on the name? Both Andrew and Kenneth are the same age, and engine fitters so the same person

Did the asphyxiated guy have a wife listed or a relative who signed the death cert?
