King Clark(e) of Austrey abt 1700
« on: Wednesday 13 August 14 17:23 BST (UK) »
Hi

I've got a King Clark(e) and his wife Sarah, baptising the following children in Austrey:

King, 11 Jul 1728
Timothy, 29 Dec 1732
John, 5 Nov 1730 (buried 11 May 1735)
Sarah, 9 Oct 1735 (married James Mousley on 24 Jul 1754 and a King Clarke - signed his own name- is one of the witnesses)
William, 10 Nov 1738

and then King junior with a wife called Mary baptising two daughters in Austrey:

Elizabeth, 20 Feb 1758
Sarah, 11 Feb 1760

Can anyone find me a marriage or burial for either of the Kings (snr and jnr), please?

Any help very greatly appreciated.

Thanks
STG

Hi
Marriage for King Clark junior at Tamworth 21.2.1757 to Mary Pawl (from English select marriages Ancestry)Other index gives her surname as Paul and his age as 28.
Sorry can't spot anything else

Thanks ciderdrinker.

I see it now (on Ancestry).  I wish their Warwickshire records were complete.

I was hoping that with a given name like King they'd stand out a bit more, if you know what I mean!

If no-one here has access to the Austrey records, I'll have to save up for a trip to Warks Records Office.

Thanks again
