Birmingham marriage 1945
« on: Thursday 14 August 14 00:03 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am trying to determine if there was a newspaper announcement of my uncle's wedding in Birmingham which might be available online. I have tried searching for online resources but have hit a brick wall. The marriage record on ancestry records the registration as Apr-Jun 1945. I do not have a specific date as yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks for any assistance received.

Your best bet would be to send for the marriage certificate as they give lots of useful information more so than a death or birth.  If it's family information that you require.

Hi

The marriage registration spans a 13 week period 1st April to 30th June so without an actual marriage date and the name of the church they married in - it would be quite a task to find an announcement.

As advised above - you need the marriage cert
